recharagable batteries, get the charger and batteries, cost anything from £7-£15 for 4 batteries and charger. BUT upgrade the batteries to 2500 mah ( the higher the mah, the longer the charge ), therefore more live.

Nickel metal hydride rechargeables now come in high charge capacity. Look for 2600 mAH capacity. They need a special "smart" charger because they are not tolerant of overcharging. The latest technology is Li-ion (Lithium ion), also rechargeable. Both these battery technologies provide at least 5 times more charge than earlier NiCads and are available from Boots, Argos, Jessops or ebay, complete with suitable charger.

Defiantly worth buying rechargeable batteries and a charger . We had the same problem as you when we bought our digital camera . Now I carry lots of spares round with me and recharge when I get home . Saves a fortune as well. You will have an initial lay out for the charger and batteries . Mine only cost about £16 from jessops.
