Are there any resources where you can apply for a government grant with out having to pay money for a cd, or what ever. All these online deals are out to get your money.

No, it does not cost money to apply for a government grant because it is free. It is rather a simple yet lengthy form to fill out. It is called the FAFSA form. The amount given in a grant is based on a percentage the family's income and family's savings along with the student's income and savings (at a higher percentage rate than the family's percentage rate). It will help the student also qualify for state and college need based financial aid, too.

Fill out the FAFSA. Period. Don't rely on those gimics you find online. Grants are FREE money and it should NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES cost you anything to get them!
