As wonderful as you think your child is, don't believe everything she says about school or about the teacher. If you feel there are valid concerns, go meet the teacher and discuss the concerns - get her side. Our angels at home are not always angels at school!

When I had a problem with the teacher being nasty to my daughter I went to the teacher and spoke to her about it. When that didn't stop the problem I went to the principal of the school and she said she would speak to the teacher. When that didn't help I DEMANDED that my daughter be transfered to another class IMMEDIATELY or I was going straight to the school board to file a formal complaint agains her and the teacher. My daughter was moved the next day.

Get the teacher's side of the story... I bet your daughter is misbehaving, smarting off to the teacher, not turning in homework, etc. There's always a reason for the madness... Heck, in my classmate's case, this teacher didn't like her because she bit her nails ALL THE TIME.

have a meeting with the teacher by yourself and see if there is anything you can do to help your child be successful in the class. Sometimes when the teacher sees there is a truly vested parent they give a little extra

Same happened to me as a little girl, my mother went there and said "if you ever touch my girl again I'll kill you" lol, it worked but I think that's a little drastic.
I would still call and ask if you could arrange a meeting with him/her.
I would tell them that your girl feels mistreated or that you feel that the teacher isn't nice to her and that is making your girl uncomfortable about going to school and influences her school work because that's what it is like most of the time.
If the teacher is unfriendly about it I would try to see the headmaster/ head teacher of the school.
They would most likely understand.
Good luck with that

I think that you should definitely go directly to her teacher and discuss this issue with her (or with him). Also, pray for her teacher. Maybe she is under alot of stress. And let your child know that she should forgive her teacher. Ask your child if she has any concerns in regard to her schoolwork, which may be affecting her perception of her teacher. In addition, give your child alot of support and bless her immensely; Sincerely, Michele

I think you should talk to your friend and you and her together write a letter to the teacher telling her about how your girl feels about the way she is being treated.

Go to the Principal, if your still not satisfied then go to the school super attendant. You can try talking to the teacher but I doubt you will get any where.

What is mean? I have students who think that a teacher expecting them to sit down, be quiet, follow directions and do their work as us being mean to them.

Go to the principal and put in a complaint, but think about what you are going to say because the police might become involved and the guilty party being charged.
