He is fair is in his judgment, but other that that, he does not guarantee our lives will be fair.

God is the sovereign Lord of the universe, and His ways aren't our ways. He sees the entire picture of civilization and human lives from end to end -- not a day at a time, as we do. What we in our limited human understanding think is "unfair" may ultimately be both just and fair from God's infinite perspective.
Denying a child a pretty bottle of poison may seem unfair to the child at the time, but when he grows up and understands the danger, he will see just how fair the adult's action was. In the same way, God may do, deny, or permit something that doesn't seem fair from our viewpoint. But years later, we can look back and see the wisdom of His decision.
So is God fair? Yes -- by His standards, not ours. Is He wiser than we are in our limited human understanding? Oh yeah. . .big time.

First of all lets get God's part down streight, in Hebrews 13:8 we find that Jesus has always been with The Father, and in John 8:58 He is The I AM, in John 1 He was the person of The Godhead that was the active agent in creation and the one when in Gen 3 mankind sinned went looking for them, He was the one who asked "where are you" now Jesus being God was asking for His information but for ours, "okay you sinned now where are you in your relationship with me" Jesus being God did something that was very unfair, He gave a promise to give Himself in Gen.3:15 and take our death so we can have "IF" we live up to the conditions upon which it was offered have His life, no God isn't fair and THANK GOD HE ISN'T want to know more about the God i serve free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

if i'll be a God and a person i created exactly didn't believe in me, should I still accept the person?
if i gave him all the proofs yet keep on denying i existed, will i tolerate her?
if he did good but believe that he is the reason of his own existence, should he be classified with those people who believe in me?
actually, if we're trying to simplify hell in layman's term,
HELL is a place without the presence of the Father, so isn't it right to let those be there if they chose to?
everything has been said, the acceptance was the one lacking, should it be an excuse to God?ofcourse not
for a second.. being fair is not bounded with no one is harmed and both have benefits but it's proper to define as receiving what the person deserves due to his own actions and living as well

If we all got what we deserved, we'd be in trouble. God shows mercy by giving us the opportunity to escape hell every single day. All you have to do is admit you sin, believe Christ died for that sin and confess that you believe with your whole heart. That's it. You only have to do it once, but you have to mean it. You get that chance every morning when you wake up, no matter what you did the night before. Tell me that's not fair and just?
*Edit* As for the question about why he allows sin, disease, death, etc. which many people ask...going through tough times makes us strong and proves our faith. God cares more about our spiritual being than our flesh, even if we can't understand that as living, breathing, emotional creatures.

To be fair means making yourself equal to Him. We will never be equal to him. He is our creator. He holds our breath. He knows when we expire. He knows your every waking thoughts. He knows all. So clearly we are not fair to Him. He demands your respect and as you should because again....he holds your next breath. Why would you choose to go against such power. He is a jealous God. Put anything before Him and look out. He will humble you at some point. Whether it be a job loss, illness or loss of something or someone very dear to you. I would not challenge him if I were you. You don't stand a prayer to win.

That just about sums is up for me. I believe that God is just and merciful. By merciful I mean He defers or waives judgement of the unjust (all mankind) and He gives free gifts to us that we do not deserve.
The allocation of justice & mercy may not seem "fair" to us. Fairness is a human judgement that even we can't agree upon. For example what's "Fair: taxing everybody the same amount in $, the same % of income, or a progressive tax system?
Fairness is a myth.

YES- God is fair. God gives each of us the choice or "freewill" to save ourselves. God doesnt make us believe. God gives us freewill to choose. God also say in the Bible that there will be suffering, trials and tribulations, and with these is to show us God's wisdom and teach us. I believe in our God who is loving, forgiving and patient with us and fairness is all about our faith not about being fair. Our faith is what will get us to where God wants us as we are saved by God's grace only, but with the freewill to choose that path.

No, God does not have to be fair. He is just, but he is not always fair. If he was, he would have to give everyone the exact same trials and experiences and lives basically....and that is just unfeasible if He wants free will and variety. However, His judgement is fair, and he is more than fair when it comes to offering forgiveness to all men, since none deserve it.

Well according to Christianity, no one deserves to go to heaven at all. Every person sins and is not worthy to be in God's presence.
God was more than fair to offer his Son as a sacrifice for those who would believe in him.

it would be nice if god would reveal himself to us and answer these questions, the bible was writen by humans and then translated several times, then some guys sat around and determined what writtings would be in the bible, and which ones to leave out. Seems god gave us some lessons to try to live by, but sometimes it doesnt seem he is involved in our everyday lives
