Call The Salvation Army, Good Will, etc. and ask if they will come when you want.
If you can't find a charitable organization that will come, you can always list the things on your local Freecycle. It is an internet community that is dedicated to keeping reusable items out of landfills. The people will come to your home...or wherever you need them to pick up...at an agreed upon time. Nothing can be sold, traded, or bartered on Freecycle.
In our area, many women's shelters, homeless shelters, etc. use Freecycle to help their residents get back on their feet because they can't even afford to buy things from the thrift stores.

Call them on the phone and make an appointment and they will come over and pick it up. Call good will that is what we do or if you live in the country like Grandma you should probably haul it yourself to that place.

Call the Salvation Army or Goodwill. At one time they made pick-up of furniture, sofas, etc. I don't know if they still provide that service.
