So I used to have a really high metabolism, but then succumbed to an eating disorder that just destroyed it, and has gotten me down to 15.8 BMI. I was just wondering if there was any way I could rebuild my metabolism, as I'm starting to eat normally again.

First of all, that's great that you've overcome your eating disorder! I would say establish a healthy eating plan & exercise 3-5 times/day. The more muscle that you have, the higher your metabolism will be.
If you need help eating a healthy balanced diet, go to www.mypyramid.gov. It's a great website for the new food guide pyramid.
Good luck! You're on the right path!

eat just a little more than what you are used to (hungry for) and your body will have to work harder to digest it all... it may or may not work.. but when you eat less than what you are hungry for, your metabolism slows, so i assume it could work the other way around.

forget the BMI it's very misleading.

what's your current body weight and body fat %? what kind of exercise do you partake in daily? how many calories a day are you consuming?
