Yes. Wouldn*t you feel more comfortable and accepting of your newly acquired cousin though if you were to spend some time getting to know him?
Given time I*m sure that you would come to think of him as having always been a part of the family and loving him as such. It is important here that he feel he has found a family that does love and accept him and wants him to be family. I*m sure that they are expecting you to help make this transition pass smoothly for all concerned. Include him in get togethers..make that extra effort. Don*t ignore him, or pretend that he doesn*t exist. Whatever the cause that he was given up for adoption...he needs lots of reassurance and love.

Yes Legally he is your cousin welcome him to the family and I really wouldn't plan your guys marriage right now maybe not by blood but now he is related to you and if you and him got together( if that is why you are asking this question that is) Wouldn't it cause weirdness in your whole family then if you did and then broke up it might put your whole family in turmoil and I think that is a situation you don't want to put you or the rest of your family through. In any sense this person would be the wrong person to crush on OK.

Yes, he is legally your cousin, but there aren't really any laws that would affect your relationship. If, by some weird reason, you wanted to marry this person, all you would need to do is prove that you aren't related by blood.
