I work for an auto finance company and all the time I'm helping people that bought their vehicle in one state and immediately moved to another state that would not let them register their vehicle (get tags or plates)in the new state until they were able to take the Title to the DMV for a state change on the title....the time frame for the DMV in GA is 45 business days until they will release the title...my suggestion is wait until you move to NJ and purchase the vehicle there...you will save time and suffering with the registering of the vehicle...and also you wont put all those extra miles on a new vehicle too.
