I have tried to program 27.185 in, there was a yahoo ? that said this is the frequencie but my scanner keeps flashing an error message. I want to hear the truckers and have a scanner but did not want to really have a CB? How do i do this?

Most scanners wouldn't allow you to enter a CB channel.
They usually start at 30 MHZ.. CB freq falls before that.

CB channel 19 is 27.185 MHz, AM mode. If you can program that into your scanner, you can listen to it. The link below will give you all the frequencies for all the CB channels.

most scanners are design for FM only reception. if that is your case, then getting the 27.185 is only half the problem. most likely the squelch will not function correctly either, so that you would be stuck on this channel even with no talking.
