My bestfriend went to a party and got drunk when her boyfriend told her not to get drunk with other boys and her other bestfriends who were with her told me that she cheated on him and that she was being flirty and forward and got fingered by a senior and shes a freshman(shes not a virgin she lost it to her boyfriend this year) And it was bugging me and I knew it was true and I knew if i I asked her she'd lie so I had to tell her boyfriend because it was his right to now if it was true or not. And I found out it was true and my bestfriend hates me and I lied to her boyfriend and told him it wasn't true so they'd get back toghether and she knows what I did.

Sometimes doing what you feel right is not the best thing to do. What she chose to do did not involve you. You should have known you would not be chosen over her so doing this was a result of a couple of ideas. Either you thought he would dump her and get with you or you thought she meant nothing to him. Either case you are the one that got involved in another's business. Please take this as a chance to learn and try not to interfere with relationships again. As an adult getting involved could actually get you killed by a jealous significant other. I have known someone that was shot for simply trying to stop an argument between a couple. And it was NOT the man that shot them.

If you didn't see it for yourself, then you have know way of knowing for sure that it's even true. That being said, I'll say this. It was wrong. It was none of your business anyway, but it's a common mistake that men make. They want to look out for their boys. Problem is that women lie. They'll lie so that your bf dumps you, then they'll have a chance. Girls are, at best, sketchy, at worst, flat out lying, manipulative little backstabbers. Trust me..I'M A GIRL!

If its a matter of he said, she said then it probably would have been better to wait or just tell the guy what you saw.

It probably was also crummy to tell the truth, then take it back. Now if you do it again, he won't believe you.

I suggest taking a step back from the drama and sticking to school.

That could really ruin it between your bestfriend and you...but if she's the cheating type you don't even need her as a friend you can become close friends with the guy she's cheating on

If you have a special interest in your friends boyfriend. Then telling him will earn you points only with him. Your friendship is with your bestfriend. That should have been your starting point.
