I've been dieting for 3 weeks officially. I'm doing everything the right way- exercising at least 3 times a week, drinking plenty of water, eating the right things, staying away from sugar/soda/sweets/and too many carbs, and even allowling myself 1 day to splurge out of the week; however I've lost NO WEIGHT! Any advice as to what I may be doing wrong or what I should do to start seeing some results?

3 weeks really isn't that long. The main problem is that people associate dieting with losing weight. This isn't always the case. Your probably losing body fat, but gaining muscle therefore your weight is staying the same. For instance I'm 5'9'' and weigh 193lbs., and my body fat count is only 6%. But yet you have guys out there that are the same height and weight as me that look like blobs. Don't judge yourself by your weight. Judge yourself by your body fat count. A good way to tell is by your clothes. For example my wife is 5'2'' and weighs 130lbs. before she dieted and exercised she wore a size 8 dress, but since she has been dieting and exercising she now wears a size 6, but still weighs the same. So you see its not the weight that counts, but the body fat. Which is the bigger pile, a 100lbs of feathers or 100lbs of rocks? Now, which is the stronger pile? Hope this gives you a little more insight.

Well 3 weeks is not that much time it has to do with genetics some ppl can eat what they want and not gain a pound while others put it on by almost looking at junk food... for you I would suggest working out a 5 days a week...also timing of meals is crucial dont skip breakfast and dont eat to late it's best \to not eat after 7pm since that is when your body's metabolism starts to slow....if your are lifting weights you can expect to gain weight from muscle growth..but cardio is the best all around fat burner....try also not splurge that one day once every couple weeks is ok but when you are trying to lose weight that one meal of splurging can set you back alot more than you think...it can take half a year for some people to lose a few pounds or slim down so its something you really have to stick to ...much luck hope this helps

Sounds like your body is resisting and trying to hold on the fat that you do have or you've reached an early plateau. My suggestion is to change up your exercise routine totally. Once I did that I lost 3 pounds the following week. Eat sensibly don't go to the extreme by cutting out everything. Food boosts your metabolism. Keep up the good work, no matter what do not give up. It will happen for you, if you stop you may gain weight. Good luck!

Two questions:
1) Staying away from carbs? Why? Too many, I understand, however, your body needs carbs to go with protein to give your body the energy it needs to keep going-it keeps your blood sugars level.
2)What all do you splurge on-- on that one day? Do you "make up" for all the things you weren't able to eat the rest of the week? Or one piece of cake/orpie/or three cookies limit.?
If you are limiting yourself (I believe you are) on your splurge day, then you are doing really good.
Please, try one more week, and if you still don't lose any weight, then please make an appt. with your dr/nutriitonist to see what is going on. You should on average, not lose more than 2 - 3 lbs per week, at the most. Otherwise, it won't help you. However, in the beginning, the first few pounds will be some water weight.
I wish you the best. Take care.

Just a few things: 133 kilos is the healthful target on your height, not a hundred twenty five-one hundred thirty. You are ageing and which you could receive that you are going to not ever be again to your youthful weight. Or, you can break your body and your life trying. Make a choice. Your diets should not working considering that you're not following them. Everything was once working unless that night you ate out. You "quite often" eat 1200 calories. It is the dishonest that's stopping your growth. Why are you cheating? Becuase your food regimen is simply too strict. 1200 calories is an severe fats loss degree for your degree of undertaking. 1952 energy is your upkeep level, and 1561 is your normal fat loss degree. Thismeans that you just should intention for 1560 calories. For those who enable yourself to have 1950 calories in a day, you will not be shedding fat that day, but you won't be gaining both. Enable your self those spoil days. On the days when you are weight-reduction plan and aiming for 1560, you'll burn fat. If out of desperation you attempt to go under that, you're going to set your self up for these binge days which can be killing your eating regimen. Purpose for 1560, and let yourself have as much as 1950 at any time when you wish to have in order that you are not tempted for a binge day as a way to set you again. This may increasingly maintain you on the path to weight loss. Please be aware that as a result of fluctuations in water each time you drink water or urinate, you may even see your weight go up or down when you weigh yourself day-to-day, but this is not necessarily a change in fats. So weigh your self once every week or each other week simplest.

DON'T WORRY the whole point is to stick to a program don't become discouraged because you see no weight loss. The whole point about dieting and excercising is to become a healthier person. It's good your sticking to it it would be dumb to just stop and go back to your old habits. Trust one day you'll be like hey i lost a little weight.

Hang in there. As you diet and exercise it takes a while for the fat to turn to muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it may take a while to notice any weight change. You are doing all the right things, just give it a chance.

if u havn't lost any weight yet then u may not be doing anything wrong. if u are at healthy weight then ur body wont react as much to exercide. what im saying is if u r 300 pounds u will loose weight in the first week. but if u r a healthy person around 130 for example u wont burn fat as often. and as long as your not losing weight i wouldnt be too discouraged.
