Who chose them?

Mmmm don't forget that we atheists don't have a common belief system, so how the heck do we choose representatives, if we don't have common ground.

They did better than I feared. But, everybody could rip apart Ray Comfort, so that's not even a victory.

Reza Aslan (for example) would have ripped the rational response squad apart, without even too much trouble.

I'd love to see a debate between Sam Harris and Kirk Cameron, but that'd be just for my own laughs.

Sam Harris is, for me, a good representative of atheism. A better one would be Ronald Plasterk (Dutch atheist minister of education). I adore that man, he's absolutely brilliant, very friendly and always relaxed. But, nobody knows him, I don't even know if he speaks English.

On a lighter note, if you have a satuday off, let's schedule a debate between the both of us and Cameron/Comfort. We'll have fun!

Sam Harris, Richard is a dolt, sorry yet I do purely in comparison to him. Richard loses face by using asserting issues so over the main appropriate that even I, an atheist, concept it replaced into offensive, like asserting faith does greater injury to a man or woman than sexual abuse (and on a matching be conscious asserting he helps pedophiles greater desirable than non secular persons) that replaced into too lots, and that i'm specific many non secular people who examine a number of his books all yet misplaced admire for atheists.

If they want anyone to take them seriously, they better find some better reps.

I'm sorry, but watching Kirk Cameron arguing for the existence of god by opening his mouth to stuff a banana in isn't helping their cause.

*My mistake...I was still stuck on that video posted a minute ago. Okay...the response team...ummm yah...let's nominate some of the people from this forum. We'll take nominations.

I figured we were letting them go to town because Dawkins was still floating around in case there were some Christian apologists worthy of playing the varsity.

I thought they matched up with Ray and Kirk pretty well for that Jerry Springer episode of Nightline.

According to a question I asked about televising an R&S debate, Acid Zebra and JP got the most votes to support the atheist side.

Comfort and Cameron suggested the debate, the RRS didn't.

Give 'em a break, they're young and they're new at this. They'll learn. Besides, Carl Sagan is long gone, somebody has to take his place.

I have both infilitrated them, and am now in command.

I have just executed their leader (not really- I just locked him away in a spare room), and am currently torturing the remaining members who are tied-up and being forced to listen to Barry Mannilow.

And when you say "better", what do you mean? I think they do a damn fine job. They don't attack religion, they question it because they don't agree with it. Now Cap'n Awesome on YouTube, that's a bad representation of free thinking. That's freegin' outright insanity.

I think we have better representatives right here on this forum. We should start our own team.
