Canidae All Life Stages is perfectly fine to feed your GSD.

While proper nutrition is a must, it won't prevent HD.. HD is usually genetic in nature and this is the big reason that responsible breeders do OFA/PennHip on their dogs before they breed them. They only breed those dogs that pass the tests. While this doesn't completely eliminate HD it does greatly reduce the risk .

I feed my Golden's Canidae and I feel the better nutrition offered by Canidae is better for their all over health than a dog food with all the additives in them.
You can run this by your vet but I dont think that would be necessary.
As far as hip problems go you can get a extra supplement but I have not and my big boys here (90 pounds Goldens) are fine. At 4 months old I really dont think you have anything to worry about.
NOTE: I just checked out Wellness puppy food and it's not rated as high as Canidae. So you can make up your mind from that OK.

There is NO food that claim it will prevent hip dysplasia. The human grade ingredients, omega 3&6 fatty acids, antioxidants and essential vitamins it provides will promote healthy bones and joints (skin & coat).

Environment can play a huge roll in hip dysplasia also. Excessive running, jumping at an early age can cause problems later.

We raise Doberman Pinschers. Like Shepherds, Dobermans can be prone to hip problems. We've used Canidae for about 5 yrs now. My oldest male dobe will be 13 in July, and he used to tweek his shoulder running up to the fence, but since we've switched him to Canidae, he hasn't had a problem since.

I wouldn't feed anything else!

No food can prevent hip dysplasia, but keeping your dog at a healthy weight will lessen the chances of developing it.
Canidae is considered a premium food, but I switch my beagles to it and they began to look bloated. We now feed Wellness, which may have a formula to suit your dog.

Large breed food isn't necessary if they are on a good quality food. I have never used either brand, but do some research on the internet and pick what you feel is best for your dog.
Also, hip displaysia is a genetic malady and can't be prevented, but it can be slowed down by not allowing your dog to become overweight, and better nutrition helps everything.
