it's just their way of releasing emotions. crying doesn't always means they are upset!

Well one way is because they are so overwhelmed with that person, their feeling such intense feelings for that other to where they suddenly tear up & it's almost uncontrolable, "Tears of joy/love" is a shorter term,
Another way is, because when you love someone so much, to where they become apart of you, when they break you, it's pretty much like apart of you is slowly dieing, & your crying it out...it's one of the most hardest emotion to fill, something no one wants to experience, but I think we all at some point in our lives do feel it, & when that day comes when you do get torn, apart of you dies, & it's hard to get that part of you back. Some take hours, some take days, & some even take years to get over the ache.

Crying isn't always a sad emotion. It can be a happy emotion too. My husband makes me cry sometimes when I'm overwhelmed with love and joy for him.

They could be joyful tears, like the ones you get when a feeling is just so overwhelming you can't get it to go away. Or some people finally realize that the saying, "Love hurts" is true. <3

i think a better question is why do people who cry when they are in love stay in that relationship...
but you can either cry for good things or bad things...it all depends

I think people, especially women get very emotional when they're in love. We are easily hurt by the ones we love because their opinions mean so much to us.
