Your body weight can fluctuate daily because of sodium intake, hydration level and even that time of the month if you know what I mean!

Try not to let it get you down though,if you are eating healthy and exercising that is all that matters!!

Would you answer this please.

If you move the scale around your room to different places when you mesaure, it can measure different results. This is because of different slopes or sometimes surfaces of the flooring.
Always measure with the scale in exactly the same place each time you measure yourself. There is also a certain margin of error inherent in the scales.

And of course that is not a huge weight fluctuation, it can be the result of eating a large meal then going to the toilet, or losing water overnight through sweat and breath etc.

It might be your scale or it might be that you have changes in water weight and clothing. It's not unusual fluctuate a bit which is why they say to weigh yourself at the same time each day. It's usually just a pound or two but if you eat salty food or are premenstrual it can be a 5 lb. difference.

It is your actual body weight fluctuating. It is very normal. The best time to weigh yourself is first thing in the morning when you get up, that way you do not have a lot of variance when weighing yourself... though I would recommend not weighing yourself everyday, because that can drive a person crazy!!!

Using a measuring tape for measurements is much more accurate.

it is perfectly normal for the bodyweight to fluctuate by several pounds do to hydration levels. you only need to weight yourself once a week at the same time of the day. there is no reason to weigh yourself on a daily basis. numbers on the scale can be deceiving and the body composition is far more important than the total bodyweight.

It might be both. Scales aren't very good at measuring weight because sometimes they can get messed up.

REMEMBER:You should only weigh yourself in the morning right when you wake up because that's when your body has the least amount of fluids in it which will give you a better measurment.

Sounds like normal water fluctuations - not you or the scale. I know that it can be REALLY difficult, but try to only weigh yourself once per day (in the morning if you are trying to lose weight, in the evening if you are trying to gain).

It is normal for any body to flucuate at least 5 pounds each day. This is not a bad thing. Early morning, people usually weigh less, while afternoon can weigh you as more.

Same thing happens to me. Make sure you weigh the same time of day and only once a week. All kinds of things effect the number, water weight, etc.
