does the 2nd place vote getter make the field? Or do they let the most popular driver use that ticket into the big show and go with the next driver in position in the All Star Open? Just wondering how that would work.

I got to thinking that Carl Edwards is just as likely to race his way in as he is to get voted in and what would happen if that scenario were to play out.

LOL. The rule is the top vote getter on the lead lap. If the top vote getter on the lead lap finishes 1st or 2nd, they will go to the next vote getter.
So, there are millions of scenarios. For example, Kenny Wallace likely has the most votes (since he has been actively campaigning), and if he wrecks, or gets lapped, he is no longer eligible so the guy with the 2nd most votes goes on.
There will be a voted-in driver in the Challange, no matter what!

i've got purely voted for Dale Jr a million time as i think he is going to win a race earlier the All famous man or woman race, yet i've got voted for The Dinger, Ambrose, Logano and that i've got given Robby Gordon some votes besides.. yes, if the driver who has the most votes wins......then it goes to the driver with the next highest amount. This happened a few years ago. I can't remember who it was.

I too am at a loss. I'm not a big fan of this All Star week... I wish we were racin. I guess we'll just have to wait & see how it turns out.
