I'm sure not the answer your looking for, but there actually was a 'gravy' train on the SP.

One schedule operated a freight train between the yard in Ogden, Utah to the yard in Roseville, California.

The railroad identified schedules by initials. So the train came from Ogden, "OG" and operated to Roseville Yard, or "RVY." The train was the OGRVY, hence it got the moniker of the 'gravy' train.

But it wasn't a gravy train at all. Heavy ol' dog and no fun at all.

You might be able to win a bet or two with this info...........
