Hides his phone from you, stays late to do 'work', starts making an effort in appearance etc

When he instantly starts changing the way he acts around you, doesn't call you as much, maybe doesn't even try as hard to see you. Also, if you feel he always finds random excuses to get out of a date with you then you have something to be worried about. You need to for sure talk to him if he starts this way, especially if it's just out of the blue. Make sure you are straight forward with him, and if he starts making a joke out of the situation like " Are you serious, cheating why would you think that" then just tell him all of the reason you think he is, and see what he has to say.
If he still keeps on saying no he isn't, doesn't have a good reason to his behavior, and you still don't believe him, then just wait a while longer to see how things go. Good luck!!

A change in theyre attitude... if hes not touching you the way he used to or acts different towards you. If he doesnt call u as much or stops spending as much time with you as he used to. Or if married not home as much with little excuses like oh im going this place and that place.

If you got a feeling his cheating he probably IS. So maybe its time to start looking for some one who wont make you feel like that. They're out there. You don't need the anxiety.

If he is slimy, he is probably pretty good at hiding it. But even professional jerks make slip ups. I would ask to borrow his cell and see how he reacts. If he is cool with it, then no problem, but if he flinches, then watch out.

He'll act different!!!! You'll notice things change in him, he might even either detach from you a little or pull you closer in efforts to cover up as well.

when you get the feeling that you've obviously had... dump him... it's not worth going through the mistrust and worry. And if you suspect something... you're probably right! Trust your instincts....
