My family and I had been living with this family since November 2006, we moved out of that property on Sunday 1st April, 2007, the husband then called on the said date and accused me of being a thief of being dishonest some of the many names he called me. In reply I told him if this is my crime at least I had never murdered some one like he did. With that he threatened that he will have me assaulted either by him or pay some people he knows with drugs to carry out this crime. Despite telling him that I will report this threat to the Police, he continue with his threats. He repeated this to my wife and children when they went to collect our remaining items.
I am now concern for my the safety, being the fact that he, who is a Security Guard is a convicted murderer and he alleged that such assault had been carried out in the past on people who have dared to accuse him of being a murderer.
I had filed a police report but heard nothing yet. What do you suggest?

You can get a protective order but it is only a piece of paper. Maybe you should hang low for awhile. Any time he calls try to record what he is saying. I am concerned that he is a security guard and a convicted felon. Felons are not supposed to own guns.

If you filed a police report, then I would follow that up by calling the detectives handling the investigation and asking them what is going on.
I want to know how a convicted murderer got a job as a security guard. Be sure and ask the detectives that question as well.

Continue with the police and take some measures to ensure your familys safety. I would take some sort of weapon to bed with me everynight perhaps keep something in your car aswell and always watch your back. If you dont feel safe somewhere dont go or get out of there ASAP. Stay in well populated areas with lots of witnesses etc. Try and get evidence of this scumbags harrasment. Record phonecalls set up CCTVS on your new premises. Why did he accuse you what demands is he making?
Crusador: Lots of security companies are run by gansters so i think it would be easy for pigs like that to get a job with them.

there is more to this then you are saying. there is no such thing as an "ex convicted murderer". either he is a murderer or he isn't. i don't see how a felon with a violent past can be a security guard. it sounds like you are provoking him. why are you talking to him at all?
if the cops believed your story then the guy would have been picked up and put in jail on the spot.
i suggest you not talk with him again and if he contacts you then just have him arrested.

Contact the police again - threats to kill is a serious offence.
Furthermore, stay out of his way and enough with the baiting comments - you really should not inflame this situation further, as what you said to him appears to have been the trigger in the first instance.
p.s. Did you steal from them? Are you a thief?

Record everything, document everything you possibly can, file a report, put in for a restraining order, and DONT antagonize the guy. Be a bug in law enforcments behind till you get something done.
Or move out of state, fast.

personally i would get myself and family as far away as possible
plus i would contact the police again , but they tend to have there
hands tied in cases like this in the meantime ur a sitting duck .
its not easy but i would leave everything an go an make a fresh start as far away as i could , material possession is nothing , compared to a life.

keep calling the police, and make a note every time threatens, that way you can show them exactly what's been said. have you thought about getting a restraing order so he cant come near you ?

You have cause for concern undoubtedly but looking at your profile leads me to wonder if you are completely honest here..I suggest you keep on at the police and try to distance yourself and your family asap...

do you think he is going to carry out threats if he is known to the police,I dont think so, he is only trying to make out he is big but in fact he is a coward, dont worry about it,you are more of a threat to him than he is himself and he knows it,good luck.
