I heard on the news about a guy that died from consuming to much water. All I was thinking is how? What happens?

Yeah, I've Heard Of That. But I Think It's Just If You Drink It All At Once, You Know?? Like If You Drink A Glass Here And There, You'll Be Good. But If You Drink A Crap Load Of Water All At Once, It Overfills Your Kidneys And Junk, I Don't Exactly Know, But I've Heard Of That Before!! That's Why I Drink Dr. Pepper Instead!!!

You die from drinking too much water because you flush the electrolytes out of your body. You need electrolytes in your body to live.

The typical mechanism is that the water dilutes the serum sodium (and that in the brain) to the extent that the victim begins to have seizures, and if the seizures aren't controlled, that's what kills him.

Because it gets your electrolytes messed up. Your sodium and potassium must be between certain values and if it gets way off it can interfere with your heart and cause an abnormal rythem which in turn could kill you.
