Most Christians don't believe that Christ died for everyone it would seem.

Agnostics, Atheist, Buddhist, and many more make up the whole of everybody.

Dear Shane,

I believe that Jesus died to make it possible for all of mankind to be put back into a right Relationship with God. As others have said His Gift has to be accepted.

One of your posters used the analogy of the $100 bill. I would alter that a bit and put the value at a trillion dollars, give or take.

Have you ever read Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan? It is an excellent story about coming to the Lord.

For His glory,
JOYfilled

Hey bro, I am just a regular guy who believes in Christ. I am not big into religion but here is what I have learned. So Christianity, the faith, believes that Jesus was born to die. God sent his son to the earth to give hope, show love, to teach, and obviously he did so much more. The bible says: in John 3-16"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. (The message)

In here you see that god's love travels way beyond Christians. And I believe that there are so many people who claim they are Christians but they actually have no idea what god's love is, what faith really means. Christians are not people who are suppose to judge people, we should not be looking down on others; we should not think we are better than anyone. We should be last; we should be giving more, loving more, and caring more. There is a world out there in so much hurt that it is going to break. And those are the people Christ came here to die for, he died for their sin so when they are ready to have faith, ready to see God than they can enter into a perfect relationship with him.

The reason Christ does was because of Grace. Grace that gives an undeserving world another chance.

God doesn’t care about suck ups. He loves the person who has never read the bible just as much as the person who makes a show out of reading it and reads it where ever they are, or the person who quietly reads in the privacy of their own home in the mornings. God's love is really indescribable it is beyond anything we can comprehend. Why he died for us is amazing and beautiful.

Jesus died for the sins of every human being that ever lived or that ever will live on the face of the Earth. That includes you. That even includes people like Hitler. He suffered the price for every single sin so that each individual would be able to be saved from the punishment they would face for those sins.
I thought your question was disrespectful. Jesus paid for your sins, too, you know. But his sacrifice is of no use if we do not believe in him and follow him. That is not "sucking up." It is recognizing that He is the way to happiness. He is the example of how we should be living. Jesus provided a way for us to repent of our sins, change our lives, and be forgiven of the wrong things we have done. If we do not do these things, we will not progress and will suffer the consequences of our own mistakes.
Jesus does not exclude anyone. We exclude ourselves from the benefits of what he did for us.

It's kinda like someone going around and handing out $100 bills. He's giving them to everybody, but the only people who wind up $100 dollars richer are the ones that actually accept the money.

So Jesus died for everyone, but only the 'suck up's are saved. The rest of you have a $100 dollar bill right in front of you, but you aren't willing to go to the effort to bend over and pick it up.

Orthodox Christian teaching states that Jesus Christ died for the sins of all mankind. The gift of eternal life is available to all who wish it, but will be forced on no-one!

Try this as a metaphor: Jesus is an incredibly rich man, offering to bail out of debt anybody who is willing to (1) admit they have a debt (2) ask for the money, and (3) willingly accept JC as their financial planner for the rest of their lives.

In this scenario, those who don't know they have a debt will not be looking for financial help. Neither will those who know they have a debt, but think they can handle it themselves. Those who are willing to acknowledge the debt, but are unwilling to ask for help, will recieve nothing. Those who are willing to acknowledge their debt, and ask for financial assistance, but refuse to enter into the Financial Planning Contract, will also recieve NADA--the transaction does have conditions.

Hope that helps.

Yes, God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whosoever believes on him will not perish but have everlasting life. Just because people do not accept the free gift of salvation, it does not mean that Jesus did not die for everyone. Forgiveness and eternal life is granted to those who accept the gift.

I'm Christian and I believe that God gave all of us a gift of Jesus Christ so we all can go to Heaven, but it's whether or not that everyone wants to make that choice to follow God or not.

The sin debt of all of mankind has been paid by The Blood of Christ... it is not sin that keeps one from entering into Heaven... it is rejecting God and not coming to Him in The Way He prescribes... Those not of The Church, that is, those who have NOT come to God as He prescribes, are not bound by God's laws here on Earth... you are free to get away with any thing you can under the laws or man. God's law only applies, on earth, to those of The Church.

Jesus died for everyone's sins.

But only those who believe and ask for forgiveness will actually be forgiven.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
