NO.
you're 9. NINE. as in have about 9 more years until your an adult.
Nine years old and a little chubby go together. You're still young and don't have a mature body yet. going on a diet now will screw you up for a long time.
You're too young to be concerned about this stuff anyways. Don't get me wrong- being healthy is great. It makes you feel great, it makes you look great... But, Honey, just go play with your friendsmoutside- Summer is coming up anyways so you can go play at the beach or at a pool or something.
Take it from a 16 year female- you'll have plenty of time to worry when your older.

Well, first of all how much do u weight? ur 9, u probably dont even have to loose weight . YOu can be any age to go on a diet.
Tips on loosing weight!
running for about 10-20 minutes a day,
burn more calories then u eat
do 200-250 sit-ups or crunches a day
join track!
walk fast! ( 20-40 minutes)
jogging ( 10-20 minutes)
walking (20-40 minutes)
running or walking up the stairs! (5-20 minutes)
Drink lots and lots of water. Not only good for losing weight but for a healthier body in general. If you can't excercise, just watch your carbs and drink, drink, drink, don't stop drinking that water! Proven to work!
Good luck!

you do not need to diet, nor would it be healthy. Doctors do not recommend a diet for anyone your age unless you are extremely overweight, like as wide as you are tall :P. If you want to eat healthily then there is no reason why not, but there is no reason to diet as you are nowhere near fully developed. As you get taller during puberty, most people lose any chubbiness they may have had by the age of 14. This is why it is unattractively named "puppy fat" meaning that your weight now has no bearing on your adult weight at all. I know many tall skinny people who were chubby children, and many chubby people who were skinny kids. It really doesn't matter at your age, so you can just stop worrying and eat what you want :) at your age all you need to worry about is enjoying yourself :D

It is not best for younger people to go on diets, unless prescribed by a doctor. But that doesn't mean you can't lose weight! Excercising can help you lose a few pounds, and personally, I think most diets are not sucessful unless excercise is included. Try getting into a sport that interests you, like swimming or soccer. That may help! And remember God made you special, and He loves you, no matter what you look like or how popular, etc!!

First of all your nine. If you want to grow anymore, dont go on a diet. Enjoy being a kid. Don't let the media tell you what is beautiful and what isn't. Honetly think about it, a nine year old shouldn't WANT to go on a diet. If you really want to go on a diet talk to your parents about it.

Everyone is right - eat healthy and exercise - but if your friend is having a pizza party it is OK to eat pizza and chips. Don't come home from school and sit in front of the TV and eat chips and cookies - I know it sounds like loads of fun - but it makes you feel tired and icky. Carrot sticks are great to munch on and celery. But if you have balanced meals and exercise - you will be fine. Always exercise, but don't go overboard or freak out if you skip a few days

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You're still growing and therefore dieting is dangerous. If you do, you should speak to a doctor and make sure you eat a balanced diet, otherwise it could have an impact on your health in a few years time when you go through puberty.

You don't diet, because you are still growing and it could be bad for you, you need to exercise and go out and play, dont go running on a treadmill, go be a kid and ride ur bike... also make some healthy choices like fruit instead of things loaded with sugar and no more soda...
