that all depends on what we are working at... if it is a war then I hope we fail... when it is peace then I hope we succeed... unfortunately as george bush proved one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch... and if we don't point fingers how will we know where the problem is...

Exactly true. For example, a soccer team wins a game. It was a terrific game for that team. They praise each other for what their teammates have done that was awesome. Example: "John, that was an awesome save!" "Matt, you made a lot of great goals!" "Ben, you were sure hustling out there!" But if that team lost, they start pointing out fingers. Example: "John, you should have caught those balls!" "Matt, it looked like you weren't even trying to score!" "Ben, you were as slow as a snail!"

Most do. I don't.

It is much easier for me to believe I am the cause of my problems: I trusted too much, I didn't trust enough, I loved too much, I didn't love enough, I over-estimated a person's good will, I under-estimated their need for validation ...

Accepting responsibility for the problems in my life gives me the incentive to be a better person.

However, I'm one of those that likes to do everything on my own (none of this teamwork business.) So, I like to take the credit and blame for myself.

yes, but also when we succeed...we get a little self-conceited, thinking 'I'm the one who brought the victory, they just helped a little'
