Some do,but the ones I know are very emotionally disturbed. When such a thing happens it keeps that person in the stage of development that the trauma happened in.Its too bad some never receive the help from such abuse.

2 parts:
1. Being molested by 'the priest' or whomever is not held against them by God as I understand things currently.
2. The attitude they have after the molestation is an item to watch. They are responsible for it.

I hope so. God is not responsible for the act of those priests.
something bad happening to you, is no reason to turn your back on God, its not His doing, nor His will. people are people, and its a terrible thing to happen, and i hope those men go to jail for life. But there is no use blaming God, or using it as an excuse to walk away from God.

infact i know many women who have been raped (not by priests) well, one of them was touched by a priest actually, but all these women that i know, they drew CLOSER to God because of what happened, and God healed them and helped them overcome the bitterness, depression and sadness that could have befallen them.

God brings justice. these men, priests etc will get there just rewards.

and these victums are precious in God's eyes, and it was not His will for that to happen. and a Christian, will know that, if they actually know God.

Who said they were Christian in the first place. Priests aren't.

Attending a church of any belief doesn't make anyone a Christian any more than walking into a garage makes you a car.

It is what you believe about Christ that matters, and whether you have repented of sin and asked Him to rule and reign in your life and allowed Him to rule and reign.

Anything less than total submission to Christ is a shadow of Christianity in its truest sense.

He should not be Christian then. As the religion which tells that there is no sin of priest even when they do bad work such as child-molest, if the children has the sense to understand it, then he should not be Christian more.

I asked a question similiar to this and was told that if they turn from Christ due to this it is their choice given that they have free will and they will be going to hell.

Of course they still remain Christian. Nothing anyone can do to a child can make them not Christian. We are christian by faith, not by trials and mishaps.THe priest will also still be a christian, but he will have committed a very great sin.
