limewire a file sharing program that charged a once per lifetime fee. is now trying to charge a per download fee. How can they change there contracts like that.

You must have went to some foreign spoof site. Limewire is free.

Dang what version are you using? A once per lifetime fee! I thought the basic limewire service was free. You only pay for pro.

Have you made sure that it does NOT say "Membership" or "Subscription" on your bill or confirmation e-mail?

Well, they're being sued and probably facing hundreds of millions (or billions) of dollars in fines, so maybe they're trying to make enough money quickly so that they can avoid bankruptcy.
