This is NOT an easy car to take apart.

As you may have found out already, you can't just pry the panel out from the front. There's a metal bracket assembly behind the dash panel that holds the radio and climate control modules. The bracket, modules and all have to come out.

The first step is to remove the panel below the radio, in front of the shifter. It's the panel that has your cigarette lighter built into it. If you're lucky, there's a small panel in the middle that holds the cigarette lighter and can just be popped out. If you're less lucky, you'll have to drop the glove box to remove screws on the right, and drop the panel under the steering column to remove screws on the left. Either way, take off the panel and unplug the cigarette lighter. https://secure.scosche-cars.com/scosche.images/ha/haciv01/haciv01dash03.jpg

Once the panel's off, you can see the bottom of the metal bracket assembly that holds the radio. There should be two machine screws that you can remove through the opening, in the bottom of the bracket assembly. Remove the screws, then reach up behind the radio and push forward until the entire panel comes free. It's held in with pop-clips around the perimeter, so it won't come easy; but it's the only way because if you pry from the front you'll leave marks on the dash that will never come out.

Good luck!
