My friend has got this little lump on his scalp. It's no more that 7mm wide, and it looks like its detached, but it very much attached! It's not particulary hard, but whenyou press it it hurts. Also when he tried to pull it off, it bled!
Just wondering if anyone knew what it could be and whether it's worth a trip to the doctors :)
Thanks

A lot of people get sebaceous cysts on their scalps. Do as the above poster recommended, and see a doctor. He/she may elect to excise the cyst. It's a rather simple office procedure.

Good luck!

Sebacious cyst. It's a small fatty lump that is very easily removed under a local anaesthetic in a doctor's surgery. very common on the scalp. from what you describe, that what it sounds like.

It's a tumor. Go consult the doctor. May be he will have it surgically removed.
