i accedntly deleted some pictures off my computer and i sorta need them now. are they still on my hard drive or are they gone forever. and if there is a way to get them back plz list the steps

If you haven't emptied your Recycle Bin, you can go there and "Restore" the pictures. Right click on the files that you want to get back and the click "Restore". Windows will put those files back where they were. If you have emptied the Bin, then your pictures are lost and gone forever.

there are several recovery programs you can try like the one that was given in the first answer.

Many things are stored in the "cookies" for a long time. So there should be a way of recovery.

However- This is a good reason you should have a backup folder for pictures. You may think you don't need them- but you'll have them just in case in a separate folder.

if its a matter of avoiding taking up space, save your files/photos to a CD so you have a backup source if they are ever needed again, THEN delete the computer copy.

Install and run Recuva below. The sooner you try to recover the files after you delete them, the better the chances you can recover your files undamaged.
