I've suffered with chronic fatigue ever since having a bad case of glandular fever, some years ago. I've tried everything, and nothing has really helped. I eat a healthy diet, exercise, sleep well, etc etc. My blood tests are all clear and several physical check-ups have produced normal results also.
Currently I'm trying anti depressants to help with my energy and enthusiasm level, but the three I've tried haven't done much. So am just wondering if anyone out there has come across any other medication that's helped?
NOTE: please don't respond by suggesting any so-called 'natural' remedies/therapies - I've tried them all!!!

It is like this - what goes up comes down at times but when it does it takes a while before it can go up again! Keep doing what you are already doing to recoup and you will soon be back to your healthy feeling sooner than you anticipate! Stop worrying by the way lest you will end up feeling sick again!

I wish you the best of luck. It is hard to be so tired all the time.
I was like that after surgery and a lot of other things going on.
I became diabetic and had to really drop the amount of carbs that I was eating. I also started walking. It took a long time to be able to walk much of a distance. I started losing weight. I was not even 10 lbs over weight, but I started feeling better and tho I am now diabetic I feel better than I have in a long time. One thing I found when I eat too many carbs now I get so tired I can hardly move. It does wear off tho it isn't good for me to do that. I sure hope that you can find something to help you feel better.

I attended a lecture at Stanford University's Sleep Center. Said there is a link between chronic fatique and "sleep debt".

This is a difficult question, the following don't work : homeopathic or herbal remedies, dietary change, exercise, rest, vitamins, ( including injectables), antibiotics, amphetamines nor steroids. Sorry that wasn't very helpful.
Two things only came up better than placebo, Prozac = fluoxetine and psychotherapy.

I was diagnosed with CFS a long time ago. I went through the same course of treatment you're going through. It would work for a while, then just sort of stop.
So, if it's not physical, it may be psychological. On that note, the most dramatic successes I've ever seen have been with Dianetics. I have a background in psychology, and nothing is as useful as Dianetics.
Write me privately if you want more but,
Dianetics' basic principal is that when there is any pain, your consciousness is reduced at least a little, and the more it's reduced, the more you are susceptible you are to suggestion. Then, later on, as your environment comes back to approximate the same situation, the verbal suggestion you received from the most powerful person in the incident becomes compulsory. It's like high-order conditioning.
You can go to www.dianetics.org to find a center nearby, like I did.
