As long as you are the lienholder and your name and address are on the title - go ahead and repo the vehicle. Call the police as a heads-up and let them know that you are the lienholder and you are repoing the vehicle due to non-payment.

If you are not the lienholder, you have given away your vehicle in the eyes of the law and your only other recourse is a lawsuit in civil court or go on Judge Judy, Judge Mathis, etc.

Who has the title? If he/she does, you are pretty much screwed and you'd have to sue for balance in Small Claims Court.

If you retain title, you'd better talk to legal aid about this before you do anything.

Best thing of course is to get them to just give the truck back voluntarily.
