The Bible is an inspired account of God's dealings with different groups of people as written by prophets. While I believe it contains God's word, it has been through the hands of many people (e.g., prophets, translators, printers) who can make mistakes. Even without the mistakes, we must have God's spirit with us to properly understand the intention of what's written. So while I believe it is basically true, you have to be wise with regard to reaching conclusions.
Anyone who understands the process of translation between languages understands that you can't perfectly translate something unless you get into the mind of the person who wrote the original work. This can only be done with God's help.
It's also written by people with a different culture than we have. To understand the Bible it helps to understand their culture.

I think I can understand your point of view, and I respect it. I also believe in evolution. For me, there isn't a conflict with science and my own faith. I am not saying that I necessarily believe that humans evolved from the missing link- but it is entirely possible. If God orchestrated it, then it was meant to happen that way. As for the ark, it can seem far fetched. But what if Noah took baby animals, including little dinosaurs? He would only have needed two members of each species. Think about wolves and Chihuahuas. Do they resemble one another at all? But they are the same species! I believe that some people are truly born gay. I think that some people choose to be gay. I believe that is the truth. God doesn't send anyone to hell, my dear. People choose it of their own free will if they reject Jesus Christ. We have to choose in life. Take care, and God bless. PS- to answer your question, Yes, I believe everything in the Bible is true. However, some people fail to understand that there are metaphors in the Bible, and that this should be taken into account.

no, never in a million years. maybe the one which was originally written must be true, but over the time the facts of the bible have been distorted....i can't believe a holy book saying that ppl who do not follow christianity will go to the hell. a holy book should preach equality among ppl n not put down all the other religions..

Sorry i can,t read a bible and under stand thoses words. I beleve in the True Christains for there way showing me there thoughts and how the bible lives ower life.AS i see what they tell me ,we are living out of the bible the life writen in it. My answer is yes.

Clarify what you mean by truth or that something is true. Further, in what forms do you conceive, that truth might be communicated? Also, is a divine revelation possible, and how would one discern whether or not such a revelation would be true. Is the bible an example of divine revelation, if so, how and if not, then what is it? Finally, if it is revelation, how is it true? And if it is not, can it still represent something that can be understood as being true?

No. Not even close. In the bible it says to kill everyone who goes against the christian religion. Do you believe that? Does that sound like the right thing to do?

It is the Word of God. God is TRUTH, so yes I do believe the Word of God to be true. God has shown me in many ways that His Word is truth.
