First chop his balls, then begin corporal punishment and electroshock therapy. Daily dosages of methadone may be necessary if repeated electroshock therapy is unsuccessful.

some vets will neuter a dog that old, some don't. it may solve the problem...it may not. is there any new animals, people or anything that would make your dog feel as if it needs to mark its territory? that's generally why dogs pee in random places around the house. . .it could even be that your neighbor has a new dog causing the problem. . .or it could be signs of something more severe, life a UTI. . . another possibility, maybe your dog just simply doesn't know what to do now that he has the ability to lift his leg. you may have to start the house training process over.
GoodLuck!

Wow some of these people really write some off things. I think some just write because they have nothing better to do. Okay to answer your question. If you are not planning to breed him get him fixed. You can neuter a dog at any age usually past five months. You are fine in that area. Set up an appt. with a qualified vet. www.petsafe.net or www.radiofence.com sells products that will spray the dog I think with water or something if they come near a place you don't want them to be. You may want to invest some money in that if he continues to do that after he is neutered. That is your call. Just make sure to clean that area intensely to remove hopefully any of his scent or he will keep marking that area.

Hope this helps,

OMG !!! DO NOT RUB HIS NOSE IN IT , dogs do not understand what this is for, he''ll just think you are mad at him. Some people ! Yes, clean and get rid of the smell with that special stuff. Yes, get him fixed, but not necessarily for this reason, it wont stop a male dog marking his territory. Obviously, yell at him when he is about to do this, tell him NO ! Study when he does this. When he approaches the spot and looks likely to offend, pick him up and take him straight outside and drop him where you want him to pee. reward him with food or attention if he does pee. Also, find a good spot where you can take him regularly, and reward him when he does it there. You can, with lots of effort, teach him to pee(and poop) on command, like the presidents dog. If anyone tells you to rub his nose in it, rub their nose in it !

Hello..it might help..but he's learned to lift his leg, you have to make sure he gets a firm no & outside..when you leave he has to be in a crate or his space too, he is marking his territory as all male dogs do ...so he's not quite potty trained yet ...Take Care :)

Neutering will help, a lot! Make sure you clean up the area he marked very well with an enzymatic cleaner like nature's miracle. If the behavior is still significant after getting him neutered, contact a trainer of behavioral expert.

getting him fixed might help. Take him to the vet to make sure he has no health problems, no bladder infection or such. Go back over the house training. If you crate trained, go back to using it again. Check to see if anything has changed that may be causing this behavior, a new person in the house or a new dog. Even if the neighbors got a new dog, especially male, it may make him feel threatened enough to mark his turf. Good luck!

Getting him castrated might help, but at one year of age you're leaving it a bit late for this to make a difference. Dogs spray to mark their territory, which may be part of sexual behaviour. If it's this, castrating should help but it doesn't always.

Get him castrated anyway, prevents testicular and prostate cancer and makes for a much less frustrated dog!

getting him fixed would help.but you have to be able to let him not able to lift his leg for about a week and a half so he can heal.it may be hard to deal with right after he got fixed but after a while he wont pee any where in the house.when he gets fixed testosterone wont get produced anymore so he wont feel like he needs to mark his territory.

Getting him neutered may help that problem since he is still pretty young. Also when you see he is about to do that take him outside right away near something it's safe for him to lift on. He is doing it more to lay down his scent for territory than to actually pee.
