So, I called one of my friends today.
I woke her up (it's around 9:00 am here).
I feel bad about it & I don't want it to happen again.

The general expession for a "day job" in the USA is "9 to 5"

I consider 9 am as the earliest time to call. However, if I know the person I am calling is retired, I generally do not call before 10 am. If they are home sick, I do everything I can not to call before 1 pm.

It just depends on what time she likes to get up. Everyone is different. Maybe she likes to sleep in or whatever. You should just ask her what time she usually gets up so that you won't disturb her again. I would think 11:00 to be a sure time to call. If she is not up, she would at least understand anyone calling at that time, unless she told them otherwise.

I call between 10 am and 5pm. Any other time would be because they are expecting my call or its an emergency.

5am-3:30am fair game to me.. anytime is fine, if you have a real reason-- being drunk and alone counts.

keep it between 10-7 if you want to talk.

my friends don't like me when I call around 5am lol
