I am currently moving to another country and would like to take with me some appliances that use adapters, most of these are decorations from holidays such as lanterns and fiber optics. Because of the different voltage and plugs, it would be nearly impossible to get voltage/plug converters to use all the appliances at once so I would like to know if its possible to change an adapter to battery operated to bypass this problem. Thanks.

Okay so if I use a transformer, what places would I most likely find them at? Plus what would be a good brand to look into. I have used a few converters for individual appliances but they always burned out after 3-4 uses or are so poorly made, the plug adapter barely stays in the voltage converter.

You don't need to buy a transformer for every little appliance you have.

Make sure you buy from here a few power strips , so you can use those to plug your appliances to a 1-2 big transformers.
With one big transformer (say 10 Amps) and the power strip you can accomodate multiple appliances working at the same time.

You can certainly use batteries, but you need to match the current and volatage requirements, which will be far more costly than getting transformers.

Yes it is possible - but the time it would take to construct a battery supply with the necessary inverter stage (a different one for each item) would be prohibitively time consuming.
It would be so much easier to just use the apropriate euro voltage converter.
If you are talking about something with a wall wart(transformer) that down converts 110vAC to say 3vDC then constructing a battery pac would be rather simple - just calculate the wattage and your ready to go!
Still alot of time and probably alot of batteries gets pretty expensive since you'll be eaten em up pretty fast!
