Depends from where you're flying, I flew a couple of months ago with AirFrance from Europe and it was the cheapest deal back then. Since it's not the most popular destination the prices are more or less the same, no matter where you buy the tickets.

Well, as a travel agent and the fact that I was born in Chile. I can tell you, the best way to go is buying from a whole seller the bad thing is they don't usually sell to passengers, but to travel agencies. Of course that agency will make a profit. I will try www.lanchile.com if you are flexible with your dates if not try www.kekastravel.cl I know they have a contract with some airlines.
In any case try to fly with Lan Chile is far the best airline. I got my tickets on April for 725 all taxes included, direct flight with Lan. Good luck . Chile is marvelous.

Any of the travel sights such as Travelocity, Expedia, etc. are all about the same and may charge you a small fee for you ticket.

Sometimes you can get a better deal by buying direct from the airline. They usually do not charge you an extra fee on top of the ticket.

Not a bad price. Check different sites. My favorite airlines for inexpensive rates is Air Tran & Southwest. Air Tran has $89 each way - $178 round trip on the dates I chose in January... Saturday to Saturday. Check your dates out. Love that airline. Same rates for Southwest. If you want a more "Name Brand" Airline - try Delta, they had some reasonable rates too.. If you are flexible in dates, times and airlines - try hotwire. Also for hotel stay I use hotwire all the time. Just booked a Holiday Inn express in San Diego for less than half the price on Hotwire. They haven't let me down yet! The sooner you book the better!

Strange as it may sound, of all major airline travel sites, I have found that the cheapest fares (for example in September) were with Delta airlines - followed by American - only then LAN Chile.
