Height is partly determined by genes and partly by nutrition. You need a high protein diet with lots of calcium to spur bone growth, but it may not work (due to genes). Other than that, there's human growth hormone (HGH), but doctors are very reluctant to give it to patients, as it can have serious side effects. Just remember that if you adopt a high protein diet that you also have to increase your exercise, or you could become fat as well as tall.

Sorry kiddo! You come from short parrents, so unless there are some really tall folks in the family, you are stuck will being short.

People make fun of short folks, and I'll plead guilty as well. But truth is, there are advantages to being short.

You don't stand out as much in a crowd if you want to blend with it.

You don't have to duck as often.

Strangers are not forever asking you to take stuff off a top shelf for them.

You don't have trouble finding clothes with the arms and legs long enough.

If you put forth lots of effort and make yourself the best possible player, I'll bet that a college scout will see skill, and fierce competitiveness before he notices your height.

My advise is BE YOURSELF, AND BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE. and don't worry about other people.

There are no proven growth methods that don't involve very painful surgery that could stop you playing volleyball all together. But a good diet and some non-weight bearing exercise such as swimming may help.
Just to encorage you Tyrone Curtis "Muggsy" Bogues was only 5'3" and he was a professional basketball player.

You don't NEED to be taller, and you might grow. Right now, calcium is important. Bone legnthening surgery (where they break the bones, insert a rod, and wait for the bones to grow back) is painful, unnessecary, and dangerous. Prove the standards wrong. And I can tell you, a lot of college atheletes don't stick to their sports. I can tell you that the star field hockey player gave it up last semester to be a cheerleader.
