i assume so. because when your young you need your family to guide you so you can grow into your mom & dads child. If you are sent to a boarding school at a young age you are growing into the school's child.

I don't think it really makes a difference. My friend was sent to boarding school (military academy) between the ages of 10 and 13 and he is perfectly alright. I mean, it may cause some attachment issues later in life, but nothing major.

My personal opinion is no. It may trigger resentment to the person who sent them to the boarding school.

When people have psychiatric problems, I believe that they are more genetic problems such as the ever-encompassing claim of chemical imbalances, which is why the drug companies want you take their drugs.

Yes of course, it can cause them...disassociation from your parents, and wondering why will cause you to feel unloved and deeply hurt inside...I don't know why they sent you...but try to forgive them..and make yourself into a superstar of success in spite of what anyone thinks or says..>love to you

It really depends. If the child already has problems (hense the reason they might have been sent there), then it can't do them any more harm.
