No, iced coffee want cause diabetes, tell you're mum what does is when you're pancreas quits producing an hormone called insulin, You're consider a type one diabetic; an you have to take insulin injections or if you're like me , my pancreas still produces insulin but my body doesn't utilizes correctly , so I take Advinda. But the risk factors include: having a family history, one of you're parent's having diabetes make you have a 25% of having it; if the other parent has it you're chances are double, being overweight; having given birth to a baby over ten pounds. You should be informed of you're condition if one exists, because not knowing about it could lead to blindness or even amputation.P. S. If you do have diabetes you nor you family could not have prevent it , it's no shame or dishonor having this condition.I'm fairly certain you're mum has a good reason for you not drinkig iced coffee , mabye it's all that sugar that's in them , try Splenda; that's what I used.

It is most likely the caffeine. It takes more water to process than a caffeinated drink offers. This means it actually dehydrates you. Being dehydrated can cause headaches, among other things. I rarely suffer from headaches but when I do I normally drink some water and in 10 - 15 minutes am fine. Tea normally has around 50 mg of caffeine. Coffe starts at 85 mg and can have much more. Soda usually has 25 - 35 mg but can have up to 50 - 60 too. This means that coffee is more likely to cause caffeinated related headaches than most other caffeinated drinks, except for energy drinks which normally have about 150 mg of caffeine.

It will not cause diabetes. However some iced coffees or cappuccinos are loaded with sugar and that may be what she is talking about.
