I just moved here a few days ago and I see all these cars rollin' around with no license plate or just the dealer logo where it should be. What gives?

If they have the paper license plate or dealer logo, it means it's a new car. The real license plate hasn't arrived in the mail yet (it takes 30-45 days to get a new license plate from the DMV)

New car registration is usually taped to the lower right of the front windshield, and acts as a substitute until the metal plates arrive from the DMV.

dont worry pare...sometimes the Dept of Motor Vehicles take 3-5 weeks before you can get your license plates. as long as they have the temporary registration posted in their vehicle window then they are legal to drive...some peeps dont ever take off their dealer logo plates...them fools are chancing it when they get a moving violation...then they can get an additional ticket for their non-compliance witht the plates...

The plates are in process. There are paper tags in the car in case of a police stop.

If I see the front i think of this is somebody from right here (Michigan) with a California plate in front for adornment (very effortless for some reason) on account that we don't have front plates. even if if that's a respectable California automobile i think of wow what a protracted stress
