Why do people question the Quran and violence when the Old Testment/Torah is full of it ?

Because no one is currently committing violence in the name of the Old Testament. But there are people ( Muslim extremists) who are CURRENTLY plotting to attack and kill based on their interpretation of the Quran. That's why!

Because the violence of the Old Testament/Torah was written and followed literally on historical times "when people were able to tie down dogs using sausages". Those were completely different times, they didn't know any better. But, today, 2007, XXI Century, we are more educated and capable to sift the right and the wrong. The message of the actual, original, and only accepted version of the Quran, is been sacrilegiously manipulated to encourage violence. Muslims minds are apparently still living on the first century, are not capable of differentiate right from wrong, are not capable to think on themselves, and following whatever the manipulators say.

Hypocrisy, i mean they keep saying quran is full of violence, where is the proof?
they start quoting from the quran that it says killing is our only option and to kill everyone that doesn't believe in Islam.
however the problem is that they don't know what they are talking about. what the quran says is to fight the ones that insult Islam or tries to end it. it doesn't encourage us to kill people without a cause, and it especially doesn't encourage us to fight women or old men or children under any circumstances. but people asks what about terrorists from your religion?
those terrorists aren't Muslims even if they do say they are. terrorism got no religion whether this terrorists are claimed to be Muslims or christian or Jews or whatever

OH!! I KNOW!!! No wait I don't because the old Testament isn't full of violence. But the Quran is... Unless you consider this as "peaceful".
Qur'an:8:12 "I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle."

Qur'an:9:88 "The Messenger and those who believe with him, strive hard and fight with their wealth and lives in Allah's Cause."
Qur'an:9:5 "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war."

WOW... That's like so peacful!! I feel the LOVE!!

Qur'an:9:29 "Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission."

Qur'an:8:39 "So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)."

Qur'an:9:14 "Fight them and Allah will punish them by your hands, lay them low, and cover them with shame. He will help you over them."

Tell me can you not feel the love?? (That's good cause I can't either...)

Qur'an:8:65 "O Prophet, urge the faithful to fight. If there are twenty among you with determination they will vanquish two hundred; if there are a hundred then they will slaughter a thousand unbelievers, for the infidels are a people devoid of understanding."

Wow, this so contradicts history.

Qur'an:9:38 "Believers, what is the matter with you, that when you are asked to go forth and fight in Allah's Cause you cling to the earth? Do you prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? Unless you go forth, He will afflict and punish you with a painful doom, and put others in your place."

Allah will punish those who do NOT fight and kill!!!! That is the true definition of peace!!

Qur'an:9:123 "Fight the unbelievers around you, and let them find harshness in you."

Qur'an:2:193 "Fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief) and religion is only for Allah. But if they cease/desist, let there be no hostility except against infidel disbelievers."

Qur'an:2:244 "Fight in Allah's Cause, and know that Allah hears and knows all."

Qur'an:2:246 "He said: ‘Would you refrain from fighting if fighting were prescribed for you?' They said: ‘How could we refuse to fight in Allah's Cause?'"

Thank goodness the Quran is so peaceful or you guys might want to kill us "infidels". NOTE: Not those who insult Allah (the fat) or Muhammed the pedophile (rapist)...

But let's like ban the Old Testament or something. It's like violent...

Because people do not take Old Testament scripture as a reason for suicide bombing.

Additionally, Christians consider the Old Testament to have been superseded by the New Testament which teaches brotherly love, heavenly punishment, rather than earthly punishment.

Old Testament is history. Quran is now. What happened in the past has been corrected with love. What is happening now with the Quran is still waiting to be corrected, and one day it will.
