instead of Albert Einstein?

If someone is going to claim that the all knowing Creator of the Universe and mankind spoke to him, I'm going to have to expect some pretty astonishing revelations about the nature of the Universe, not some rehashed Babylonian crap.

How do Christians explain their God's apparent lack of education when it comes to biology, history, astronomy, etc.

And don't tell me that he gave it to them in terms they already knew. That's not much of a Revelation, is it?

He doesn't even approach the knowledge of the Greeks and Egyptians. He seems stuck in the desert.

First off God is not fake, 2nd the Bible has a lot to say about science over 2000 years ago and we are just finding that out now! How did Job know that the earth was round and hung on nothing? (science you say) The bible says the earth is about 6000 years old, well we have a thing called a leap year, now a thing called a leap second because the earth is slowing down as it turns, if we spun that process up, in reverse over billions of years, nothing would have a chance to evolve, the winds would be over 1000 MPH and that's only if we went back a million years! I could go on for a long time with this stuff. The earth and moon are getting farther and farther apart every year, at the rate they are drifting apart they would of had to pass through each other if the earth was much older than 6000 years old. The bible is full of true scientific facts, but men, in there foolish ways, thought to be wise, became fools.

Then there are people who say God don't exist, all while they look at their hand through their eyes!

The word of God says man is with out excuse!

Well, if He truly is the creator of all these things I would think He's more interested in teaching moral and godly behavior than a science lesson about astronomy or biology.
Sounds like you need to quit reading all that rehashed Babylonian crap you read in those websites.

You're stuck in the mud period.

What's a "Bronze age" desert dweller sound like, anyway? Never heard one. Are you hearing things that aren't there?

I cant speak for the bible in its current state.

On a different note, science does not give spiritual happiness.

Too technical. :)

And it is my understanding that if God spoke about the secrets of the universe in a scientific language, in a revelation, we would wait for some angel to bring us science, and we wouldnt bother looking for it ourselves, dont you think?

Comparatively, the Quran makes the attaintment of knowledge an OBLIGATION on the part of the believer. Thus, God basically says: its your job to go after science. :)

God is a God of Religion. His House is the Church. He thought we needed to know how to act. Judging from the news we still don't know how to act. it's hard to learn about Biology when we are trying to keep from getting killed.

If you are looking for answers to Biology, History, and Astronomy don't you think you should go to the University?

actually i think the bible is a rehash of a far older epic than babylon, it's the greatest astrological story ever told, BUT, the truths therein are masterfull and genius, this is psychology in ancient times, great works of spiritual enlightenment, but it is very abstract,(too much to explain here), basicly people have found out that the geneisis is not translated properly, and gives a very bad impression on the reader, in fact i suggest to learn more about the geneisis account, i think it will reveal that were were not originaly from here on this planet, that we were put here, get a concordance and check out every word of the geneisis and you'll see that its' something far more interesting than that fairy tale we are all being told, it gives real insight into science and visitations from other worlds, simple example:- Babel was originaly supoosed to mean confusion, BUT, it really means "gate to god". thats one example, but there is heaps more.

The Bible is not meant to be a science textbook it is based on philosophy, it becomes dangerous when people use the Bible as a book of science, and not what it was intended for.

Your use of the word "crap" in connection with God makes it clear that you have no interest in answers that don't suit you. You would understand if you actually READ the Bible, and kept an open mind.

And We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps, fulfilling that which was revealed before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel which contained guidance and light, fulfilling that which was revealed before him in the Torah; and a guidance and an admonition for the God-fearing.
