Was he concerned that the Gnostics might sue for plagiarism, or did he just not care because he knew the Christians would kill them all anyway?

The problem isn't the Bible, it is you the reader. There are no flaws. Picking and choosing words out of context, just using half sentences, will make any book seem wrong. Plagiarism is taking someone else's work as your own. It started to be written 3,600 years ago. It is more likely somebody plagiarized Him.

God doesn't need apologists to gloss over anything because there are no glaring errors and nothing is plagiarized. Trust in God! Read 1 Corinthians 9-11 . You are being a slanderer I think , just stop talking about God if you hate him so much.

The Bible translates the Bible; it is its own interpreter. each and every physique who says that it is guy's interpretation does so as a results of fact they don't have self belief it to be God's inerrant, infallible notice - which it maximum genuinely is! ..understanding this at the start, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from somebody's own interpretation. For no prophecy became ever produced by utilising the want of guy, yet adult men spoke from God as they have been carried alongside by utilising the Holy Spirit. - 2 Peter a million:20-21 All Scripture is breathed out by utilising God and rewarding for coaching, for reproof, for correction, and for education in righteousness, that the guy of God may be powerfuble, equipped for each good paintings. - 2 Timothy 3:sixteen-17

I will accept that there were errors in the Bible. There are. It isn't perfect, and neither am I. What I have if I don't accept the 99.99% of the Bible is death. Like what you are headed for. And then I get the cut out my brain and start attacking the Bible over stupid crap, like the 'unicorn' issue. I get to be unscholarly in my analysis of the word, and spiritualy bankrupt because I turned my back on everything that God has done for me up to now.

No, it looks like I've talked myself out of it. Sorry, but I cannot accept your way. I think that I will still be willing to accept God's way.

Sidebar: I know that God doesn't want everybody. Perhaps he allowed for some errors in the Bible so that people he didn't want to be convinced that it was true would scoff at it. That would make God smarter than you. How about that!

The Bible is the Word of God and It needs no one to apologies or rewrite it. It has no contradictions, except for the lost sinners that are looking for something to complain about and would find something wrong if you handed them a Million Dollars. If you don't like if don't read it, but some day soon you will wish you had.

Sure and bigfoot, John Lennon, and Al Gore used remote controls to send the planes into the buildings on 9/11.

Seem random, but well you just strike me as the guy who would believe conspiracy theories.

Touche!

You are correct. It is nauseating to see the contrived arguments believers offer to try to hide the obvious contradictions and scientific errors in the Bible. If there was really an omniscient deity, he would give correct information to his prophets, so no one would need to try to hide the childish errors they made. If the Bible is the word of a god, he is an ignorant imbecile. Actually, the ones who claimed to speak for a god are the mental defectives. Greek thinkers knew much more than the ignorant shepherd who wrote the first parts of the Bible.

WOW, now I have a clear explanation on why you ask such questions. "An editor" and "a proof reader" in a time people had to use scribes because most of the population didn't know how to read or write?? Your lack of history knowledge is amazing.

Father, God also wants humans to use some brain, even if there were no errors you still gotta use your God given brain and being able to decide between right and wrong.
God wants us to rise up to this challenge because he knows there is potential in us!

The problem is people like you who look for errors, I am sure if I took a magnifying glass I could find errors in your life.
