I'm a healthy person. I have an active lifestyle and eat lots of fruits and veggies. I've never had to pay a lot of extra attention to my weight or diet, besides taking vitamins and drinking water. However, even though I'm now off the medicine (a steroid for my asthma) and have vamped up my workouts, this extra weight isn't budging. So I think I need to change my diet. I've heard weight watchers is good for teaching portion control, but LA weight loss gives faster results. Even though I do not have a lot of weight to lose, I want to make sure I do it in a healthy way. Any suggestions, experiences, etc.?

non of them - they have too low calorie plans.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I think weight watchers is wonderful. It is very healthy not a fad diet. It will help you adjust the way you eat and is completely balanced no eat this and dont eat that. I dont know much about LA weight loss but as a nurse I can recommend weight watchers I have done it myself on 2 different occasions once when I was 15 years old and that is a vital time for nutrition.

I read an article and Weight Watchers was the #2 diet out there. I don't remember what the first was, but remember it was something about eating foods with more volume and less calories.

Ex. Half a canteloupe, a bowl of yogurt, and something else had the same amount of calories as some fast food thing. Sorry i can't be more helpful, but to answer your question, WW.

Good luck!

LA Weight loss I recommend because they are safe and they are not going to allow you to hurt yourself dieting they are a company with high ratings. Weight Watchers was very expensive for me and tooo many meetings to attend I don't know about you but I have lil ones who need me at home and to work not an additonal meeting. La Weightloss food is great to eat.

You can now do Weight Watchers online so that is a plus. It's also been around a long time, and that should tell you they're doing something right!

Ten pounds isn't a lot. Just eat normal healthy foods; just eat average size servings. It shouldn't take too long to loose ten pounds. Drink water and do some exercises; walking is very good.
