I usually go for Potatoe Salad. Here's a tip: bring a dish from home (if you want to fake them out and have them think you made it) and go to the prepared food section or deli counter at your grocery store... they'll usualy give you a taste if you want to try it first... and get a pound or so of whatever looks good. They usually have a couple pasta salads and some great side dishes. Then put it in your dish to look like you made it!

Here is an easy recipe that kids like.
4 cups macaroni
4 cups milk
4 cups velveeta cheese
Boil your macaroni as the pkg. directions say. Melt your cheese with the milk over low heat on your stove. Put all together and bake at 350 degrees until bubbly. About 30-45 minutes.
A quick salad recipe is as follows:
1 large carton small curd cottage cheese
1 large pkg. of cherry jello
1 can of crushed pineapple (15-16 ounce size) drained
1 can cherry pie filling
1 small carton cool whip
Blend dry jello into cottage cheese. Add rest of ingredients and chill until serving time. This takes very little time to set up and may be served shortly after mixing if necessary.
*If you don't have all of the above ingredients you can leave out the cherry pie filling and use any kind of flavored jello. You can also add some nuts if you desire.

A bucket of Fried Chicken from KFC or Popeyes with biscuits is always a good bet. Also your local supermarket has prepared deli platters with cold cuts or chopped meats like chicken salad, seafood salad, egg salad and tuna salad. Add a loaf of bread or a bag of rolls. A veggie platter or fruit bowl is also good. Every potluck I know there's always casseroles, salads and tons of desserts. Have fun!

Cole slaw and potato salad are usually brought in abundance so I would stay away from those.A few loafs of good bread are always a hit,a lot of grocery stores have great bread these days. Also, too many people foget condiments.Get a small basket from home and buy a bottle of ketchup, mustard, mayonaisse, relish, etc. You can always buy a package of pepperoni, ham, turkey, roast beef, etc. and bring a meat platter.Vegetarian anything is good to bring because so many people forget that there are tons of non-meat eaters out there now.

A plate of rolled assorted meats with cheese cannot go wrong. I always find that it is what people like and its easy to use as a finger food because theres no heating required and they have a veriety to choose from. Beef, Ham, Turkey, chicken, salami, pastrami, corned beef.
Cheddar, swiss, havarti, provolone, guere.

try a veggie or fruit platter. Maybe go with some shrimp if you have enough money to spend on it.

If you do not want to cook go to the deli section of your grocery store and purchase one of the items there. If you want people to think you made it yourself you place it in one of your own bowls.
Another great idea that is a no cooking is to get melon---cut it up.
I can give you a few great ideas and they are simple to make and wonderful to eat..
EASY POTLUCK DESSERT
Open the 2 cans of pie filling and pour them into a 9 x 13 x 2 inch cake pan. (If you do not want to bring it in a pan that you have to bring home place it in a alumium cake pan the size listed above and put it in a cookie sheet while it cooks) Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top of the pie filling. Slice the cube of butter and place the slices evenly over the top of the dry cake mix. If desired, sprinkle nuts over the top. Bake 40-45 minutes at 400 degrees or until top is golden brown.
CREAMY POTATOES
5 lg. potatoes, peeled & chopped
1 (10 3/4 oz.) cream of chicken soup
4 oz. light cream cheese
3/4 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 c. green onions, sliced
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. skimmed milk
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Cook potatoes. Drain. Rinse with cold water and drain. Mix together soup, sour cream, cream cheese and butter. Add 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese, 3 tablespoons green onion, milk, parsley, garlic salt and pepper. Stir. Stir into potatoes. Put in 2-quart shallow casserole dish. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 5 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining onion.
MEATBALLS AND SAUCE
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
3/4 cup oil (for frying)
1 cup chicken bouillon
3 large green peppers, diced
1/2 large can pineapple chunks
1/2 cup Triple Sec or Cointreau
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon Monosodium Glutamate
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
freshly ground black pepper
Shape ground beef into about 60 small meatballs.
Mix eggs, flour, salt and pepper together. Roll meatballs in batter mixture and fry in hot oil until nicely browned. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside. Discard all but 1 1/2 Tbsp. of oil from skillet. Add bouillon, diced green pepper and pineapple chunks.
Cover skillet and cook at medium heat setting for 10 minutes.
Combine remaining ingredients into a pot, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
Add meatballs and simmer for 15 minutes
To take to a potluck place in a crock pot and set on the lowest setting.
Serve it on hotdog buns
HONEY WINGS
2 dozen chicken wings
8 c. Crisco for frying
Sauce:
1 1/4 c. ketchup

In a saucepan, stir together all ingredients for sauce. Simmer gently 10 minutes. In a deep fryer or large heavy bottom pan, heat Crisco to 350 degrees.
Prepare batter by beating together milk, egg, soy sauce, and chicken bouillon. In separate bowl, combine seasonings and flour well.
Dip wings one at a time into seasoned flour, then into liquid mixture, then again into flour.
Fry in hot oil 10-12 min. Dip in sauce and serve with sauce dish in center of chicken wings arranged in a circle on a decorative platte
another recipe that i have that noone else ever brings but is very popular and easy to do. The morning before I go to work I place the beans in the crock pot to soak. Then before I go to bed I turn the crock pot on and add the other ingrediants.
