Deterrent spray. Look up cat deterrent spray on google. It'll make them stay away because they find the smell offensive but it will not hurt them.

Cat repellent should work. Also cats do not like the smells of most fruits, so if you scatter some orange peels in your flower beds that will help. If it rains, keep applying the cat repellent. I don't know of any organization that has the time to come pick up stray cats unless they are diseased. But like others have said, you can trap them pretty easily. But most shelters are not No Kill, so you'll have to call around. Good luck. If you have just two strays, there'll soon be 24.

As we live in a very rural area, people are always dumping kittens near our house. Our dogs don't take too well to the cats, but they usually end up at a neighboring farm and do quite well over there from what I have seen. They have some pretty fat kitties over there...lol He likes having them around to keep the rodent population down. The cats come visiting occasionally, but they keep their distance from the dogs. You could call a cat rescue to come pick them up. There are feral cat organizations that take them in also.

A couple of years ago we had about 120 feral cats in the neighborhood because a neighbor was feeding them all. Coyotes moved into the area for its abundant food supply and we went down to 3. I took one to the humane society, so we are at 2.
I am presently feeding a pregnant 'queen' - well she had the kittens yesterday. She's sister to two of my feral kittens who are now well-mannered 3 year old spayed housecats. I'll be trapping her and getting her spayed, she won't willingly let me touch her, but will twirl around my legs, and I should be able to find homes for one litter of kittens. Then I will re-release her. Can't catch the tom - yet.
To just keep them out of my yard, when numbers were high - my biggest fixed tom - then 6 years old, was allowed out front, and one of my dogs was occasionally on the front porch. Except for the pregnant queen I haven't fed any of the feral cats. There are plenty of mice, rats and snakes in my semi-rural area. When cat numbers are too high - the ecosystem is out of balance. A couple of ferals fit in nicely - and the remaining two are coyote-wise. I just want to stop the kitten flood at its source.

Get alive trap and catch them and give them to the Human Society.Thats what I have to do every summer. One summer I took in 38.I couldn't get this one black male. Anyway by not catching him. He found a new stray female and I had 12 more the next yr to catch. So if u do live trap them make sure u catch all of them. It's so simple. All u do is put some food in the trap and wait. The next morning there is usually one in there.I have caught a possum, and skunk too.Thats the down falls to live trapping.Good luck

It's called T/N/R. Trap Neuter Return. That's what works to stabilize a cat colony.

We had cats come into our barn. I read up on what to do about them and talked with numerous organizations. I trapped them, got them fixed and returned them to their original home (my barn). Now they are all fixed and I take care of them. Feed them and give them water, The colony is not growing.

It's not enough just to feed them. You have to have them fixed. A feral cat rescue will lend you traps, probably fix them free but most likely will NOT do the work involved in trapping them. That's up to you. Hopefully you would care enough to do what it takes. I do.

Taking feral cats to a humane society is NOT the answer. They will kill them.

It's a cycle - they will continue to have babies and continue the cycle. If you kill them or remove them more will just move into the area. The best thing you can do is rent or borrow traps and then take them in to a free spay and neuter program. Then bring them back and release them. They will keep others from moving into the area - their territory, and can't have any babies - so the population won't increase.

Use cat repellant, you can get it from any pet store.

Just spray it around your house once a day and viola they will run away like scaulded dogs! This doesn't cause any damage to em and it's humane too. This is what i do to get rid of ol silly cats who steal food from my house.

If you are smart and your parent allow you have a dog, get one. Dogs are real good companipons as well as guard dogs, they will chase away all the naughty little cats without killing em, usually.... because cats usually run like lightning so you can't harm em....

Trust me, it will work :)

Good luck to u of getting rid of ur cats :)

go to your local shelter and rent a cat trap put food inside it and when you get a cat take it to the shelter. keep repeating till all the strays are caught. also ask your neighbors that have cats to get them fixed so it cuts down on unwanted cats.

Call a humane society and get them to come and pick the cats up. Just phone around and find ones that have a non-destruct policy for healthy animals, it's not that hard.

What other option is there anyway?

very hard thing , I once lived in a town where there were so many stray cats it was so terrible and the animal control wouldnt take them but they would loan you a trap and youwere told to trap them and take them to where ever, they didnt advise you where or care where you took them it was so bad. I know it sounds terrible but when there are so so many I believe the most humane thing to do is to kill them very quickly, when there are so many they inner breed and make sickly cats that are scrounging around and very misserable and hungry. call the animal control in your county or city and ask them what you are supposed to do. I f you know a man or someone who is a good shot with a 20 20 or high power pelet gun and it is safe (not people to get hit) then have that person knock them off, I personally would hate doing that,.but I do think it is best for the animals
