I've lost my file,edit,etc How can I get them back?.?

I have a compaq presario w/ windows xp less than 1 yr. old

In IE:

click View
Toolbars
click, to display, Menu Bar

did u try installing IE 7...
that could cause that problem....
if not try double clicking "My Computer" and in the address bar type any url (http://xxxxxxvvvvvxvvxvxvxv.com) attimes that will resolve the issue

that's the Internet Explorer toolbar - click on View, Toolbars and make sure that the Standard Buttons has a checkmark by it.
