From the article link below scrunching your hair probably won't work.

You might be stucking using rollers which aren't bad if you can sit under a hair dryer. Sleeping on them is for the birds.

I would check with your beauty supply store about getting the proper setting lotion for setting the curls or that might help your hair maintain the scrunch.

After you shampoo your hair apply some product like mouse or gel put your hairdryer on low heat bend your head forward and start blow drying your hair and scrunching your ends up to your scalp slowly when your hair starts to dry some add more mouse or gel or both keep doing this until you get the desired curls you are looking for. hold your head up spray on some hairspray and scrunch more if needed.

scrunch wont work if your hair is naturally straight u need to have a bit of a kink. u could try molten browners which r like big pipe cleaners r u could try rags. basically u get pieces of thin matereial and wrap hair around it. leave in over night and u should have lovely curls. if ur hair is thin u mite need a bit of hairspray to help curls hold

Try this, easy stuff. Before you take a shower or bath, plait your hair loosely. After that apply on some hair conditioner and then wash it away. Then dab your hair or squeeze gently so that your hair would not be loaded up with much water. and then looses the bindings and comb through your hair gently. Or the day before that, kept your hair in tight plait, sleep with it and wake up the next morning with out-of-bed curly hair.

there are heaps of shampoos readily available for straight hair, that need a little bounce, buy one of them, try some strong hold gel, mouse or wax, tip your head over with a dryer and scrunch the hair in the palms of your hands towards your scalp, should do the trick

rag roll with... rags!! twist ya hair round a rag long enough to tie up as you would with a curler and tie up with the end of your hair tucked in well sleep on it as it takes time to dry out properly undo in the morning an hey presto curly hair that will last a good two or three days if ya dont keep brushing it

You scrunch it with a hair dryer, a diffuser attachment and styling mousse, although my hair is naturally pretty straight and would never hold, no matter what styling product (mousses, etc) I tried.

You can plait itAfter I wash my hair I put it up in a pony tail. Then I dry it keeping my hair twirled round it ends up really wavy.
