I know Huskey's are pack dogs and I didn't know if it would try to kill my Chihuahua and my cats.

if you get a pup that is very young (8 weeks or so) there will be no problem. you can socialise her and train her to be around your cats.
just let the cats do their thing... dont force them to be together... and they will get used to the new pup too.

the chihuahua wont be a problem.... watch her at first just to make sure she isnt jealous of the new dog... but if its a pup, she will probably love and try to mother it.

Note: huskies can be hard to train, need lots of space, walks and exercise - they like to chew and tear things up. you need to get on top of the training right away or your house will be destroyed.
her behaviour will depend on how consistent and good you are at training.

The Malamute/Husky breeds can be difficult to train if you aren't consistent. A friend of mine has a 4 year-old Husky, and the dog isn't well-trained or obedient at all. Dogs are a lot like kids/people...You've gotta lay a foundation of training & interaction with them as often as possible. When they respond positively, reward them. They need to learn what's expected of them, and what is not allowed.
They live to please you...Teach them what pleases you, and everyone will be happy & satisfied. As for the Chihuahua & Cat....If you don't play favorites with one over the other, they'll sort it out themselves. They'll establish a pecking order, and I'd be willing to bet you'll have more problems from the Chihuahua than from any other of the pets.

Be consistent & do your best to keep them socialized together while you're training them. Keep this in mind:
As in life, not everyone will be treated the same, but ALL should all be treated FAIRLY.

GOOD LUCK

I guess it all depends. Before you bring a Husky puppy into your home, do as much research as you can on them to decide if they are the right breed for for. They are a working breed and are very energetic. While they do have a natural prey drive if you get a Husky puppy, you can train them to respect the cats of the house and teach them that the kitties are not chew toys or dinner. If you do decide that the Husky is a dog that you would like to own, you will need to properly introduce he.she to your current dog. You will need to supervise their interaction and playtime whenever they are together in the same room. I would not be worried so much about the Husky trying to eat your Chi, I would though be concerned that since a Husky is way larger than a Chi that while they are playing, the Husky could accidently hurt the Chi. But, this can be avoided with proper supervision and training. We got a Husky mix puppy when she was 8 weeks old and from day one we were training her to leave our kitties alone and that they are not her own personal chew toys or dinner. She is now 4 years old and gets along fine with our cats. She really does not bother them but she does on occasion run up to them but we use a simple command to get her to stop and she does. We also socialized her a ton and we took her to meet all kinds of dogs, people and places. She gets along with all sizes of dogs and was taught not to play rough with them.

I had a Great Dane and a Chihuahua; they will be fine; you just have to be careful about playing together at first. The Chihuahua would probably be Alpha anyway because it is older and was there first.

Huskies, range in different personalites. My husky is not aggressive or territorial at all, and loves just about everything, even a bug! But, I know a girl who had 4 huskies and her one took over as the Alpha female and was trying to kill the other huskies. I think since your getting your dog as a puppy, it will grow up knowing that they are his/her family.

Just a warning, huskies are known for seizures. My dog has been having them worse lately even on medication. You can also check a husky rescue, to adopt or even just see different personalities of huskies.

huskies are bred to run, pull sleds, they need tons of exercise daily.. or they could get bad habits stemming from boredom,, i hope you researched the breed and are not just getting one because they are cute.. ALL DOGS ARE PACK ANIMALS,, i do not think you have any reason to assume that a husky pup would kill your chihuahua,, if you ask me,, protect the husky from the chihuahua

Hi, I have a teacup chihuahua and Sarplaninac, who are pack animals.
As long as they are all introduced to each other well, and you do it fairly young you should have no problems.
remember you are the alpha of the pack. they all need to know that your rule is top
