I fit Velox windows regularly and could fit one quite easily in a day, cutting the opening, fitting the velox and making good all the tiles, all this work can be done from inside so don't be conned into paying for a tower or scaffold. PRICE? dependant on size, labour £150

I had an old one replaced recently which cost about £700 incl materials & labour. If you are starting from scratch & the contractors has got to make the hole in the roof to start with I would guess that you could probably add another 50%-75% to that at least

You should be able to put a skylight anywhere all you have to do is cut it out, frame in a sturdy housing for the window, install it/ properly seal it and do any cosmetic touchups nessesary, ie drywall, paint etc. I do not know about cost. I would contact a GC but it will not be cheap. Maybe you woulg get your moneys worth if you found somemore prodjects for them to work on.

your talking about skylights... just call a couple contractors and get estimates... because it all depends on size, type of roofing material, and distance from roof to ceiling...
