Hello, I need improvement for running 800 to 1600m. I only have a treadmill to train on and I was wondering if some of you guys could give me tips to improve in speed and stamina on a treadmill

Mike, you really need to get to the gym as much as the treadmill. Shorter races rely mostly on upper body strength. Look at any track meet on tv, all you'll see are body-builder physiques.

Treadmill training ain't the best by far, but even if you ran outside, you'd still need upper body at the shorter distances.

How a about a track and coach supervised practice???

If you try to train for an 800/1600 on a treadmill you won't get very far. Sorry

you should go outside. then you should run on your toes for 400 meters and time it (it will be really hard to stay just on ur toes the first day). the second day do the same thing. the third day d0 800m on ur toes. then take one day off. then do 800m the next day 1200m. then do a 400m as fast as you can on ur toes.
the next time you race you'll be atleast a second faster!
